The Department of Sport, Arts, Culture and Recreation will be hosting the Fezile Dabi High Schools Drama Competition in partnership with Baatsumi Art Gallery and trading on 21 March 2014.
The objective is to provide youth in schools an opportunity to exhibit their talents and encourage leaners to participate in drama.
The school must identify two (2) leaners, one as director and the other as the writer. Schools have to choose from different topics such as:
- Crime
- Drugs
- Teenage pregnancy and
- Unsafe sex.
The scripts must be 90% in English.
There will be prizes for position 1 to 3; award for best actor and best actress; best director; best producer; best performed play; best scriptwriter and best monologue.
