The Free State Department of Sport, Arts, Culture and Recreation (DSACR) has embarked on a programme to support and uplift local artists and DJs in the City of Mangaung. In this regard the Department will host a music festival under the auspice of the Young Patriots Programme – a flagship of National Youth Service Programme of the national Department of Sport, Arts and Culture.

The programme is aimed at engaging young people in social cohesion and nation building programmes through Arts and Culture initiatives. This is done with the objective of instilling patriotism, encouraging civic participation and nation building amongst young people, one of the objectives of TYPP is to create job opportunities for Artist in the Arts, Culture and Heritage sector.

The Bloem Unite Festival will feature many local artists and Djs such as; Sega SA, Show Da, Levi, Dj Lemmy, Stone Mayo, Mabokotho, Dj Hunter, The Saw, Shaun Dihoro and Taylor K among others. Local brands will be afforded an opportunity to showcase their products at the event at no cost. The festival will take place as follows:
