INCIDENT OF FIRE AT THE DEPARTMENT OF SACR BUILDING

On the 22nd September 2019 a section of the Sport and Recreation building of the Department of Sport, Arts, Culture and Recreation (DSACR), caught fire. The incident apparently occurred in the morning of that day. The fire was extinguished by the fire extinguishers from the Mangaung Metro Municipality, this after a damage was caused on the ground floor of the building. The Fire Investigator and the Forensic expert from the South African Police Service came to the scene from the 23rd September 2019 to further determine the cause of the fire as part of the broad investigation. It is anticipated that the report will be finalized by Monday the 30th September 2019. Read more...
