You can enter online from 3 November 2018 until Sunday 18 November 2018 @ 24h00 at www.fssacr.gov.za/ortambomarathon or bring your entry form to Bloemfontein Achilles Running Club to register.
The club will be open between 21 and 23 November 2018 from 17h00 – 20h00 and 24 November 2018 from 9h00 – 15h00 for registration.
NO ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED ON THE RACE DAY

RULES

  1. Participants do not need to belong to a club to partake in any of the different distance races.
  2. Athletes must wear Race Numbers on front.
  3. ASA licences need to be worn in front and at the back.
  4. No advertising displayed on clothing is allowed as per IAAF and ASA advertising regulations.
  5. No athlete under the age of 20 may participate in the 42.2 km, 16 years for 21.1 km and 14 years for 10 km race.
  6. Traffic officials and race officials must be obeyed on the route.
  7. Temporary licence numbers, if not affiliated with a club will be available to eligible athletes at R50 for the 42.2 km, 21.1 km and 10 km race. No insurance coverage on Temporary licence numbers.
  8. Age tag categories must be worn on front and back of vest and must be visible.
  9. Athletes must be in possession of an entry card at the finish. If not, the athlete will not receive a medal and will be disqualified to receive any prize money.
  10. Participants must participate in the age group they have entered for.
  11. Athletes from neighbouring countries must provide permit from respective federations approved by ASA, before entering the race.
  12. IAAF rules will apply in cases of doping.
  13. Cut off times:  42.2 km = 5 hrs,  21.1 km = 3 hrs,  10 km = 2 hrs.
  14. Walkers need to wear 2x W-tags if competing for prizes.
  15. Proof of age need to be provided by the competitor if requested by the referee in a form of ID book or passport.
  16. All competitors need to have their ID/Drivers licence/Birth certificate available at all times during race registration process and prize giving function.
  17. Due to the nature of the course NO prams, animals, cyclist or mechanically operated devices are allowed in any of the races, excluding hearing aids. Support can be given at refreshment points without interfering with the duties of the volunteers or sponsors.
  18. Special drinks arrangements to be made in advance, table set aside, no further that 100m from identified refreshment point.
  19. In case of an emergency report to the next refreshment table.
  20. Registration fee is not refundable.
  21. No runner substitution is allowed.
